Business Technology Graduate Finds Success After Graduation

Posted on

Jennifer Hale is a working wife and mother who desired a career that challenged her and also allowed her to give back to her community, where she is currently employed at Okefenokee RESA as the Registrar. Through research for a degree and college that would allow her the flexibility to be a full-time employee, wife, and mother, she landed on the Business Technology program at Coastal Pines Technical College (CPTC).

Jennifer said, "The Business Technology program allowed me to support my team at work and hone in on the skills I already possessed. My advisors and instructors knew how to meet student's individual needs and build strong professional relationships. They valued our experience and knowledge and encouraged us to contribute to group learning. Earning my degree in Business Technology has allowed me to venture into starting my own virtual assistant business. I work with clients outside of my full-time job to meet their needs, whether it's calendar management, creating a logo for their business, or helping them get their website up and running. If I had the opportunity to talk with a graduating high school student, I would encourage them to look at the programs that CPTC offers. These programs help them develop new skills that could lead to a career with little to no student loan debt."

The Business Technology program at Coastal Pines offers an associate of applied science degree option as well as a diploma and several technical certificates of credit. Students can complete the degree pathway in as little as two years and some certificates in as little as one semester. The business technology degree is offered fully online for students.
