Grace Roberts, a Practical Nursing student on the Alma campus, has been named as the 2023 Georgia Occupational Award of Leadership (GOAL) winner for Coastal Pines Technical College.
GOAL honors excellence in academics and leadership among the state’s technical college students and is a statewide program of the Technical College System of Georgia. Local GOAL winners are selected at each of the state’s 22 technical colleges.
Grace was nominated by her instructor, Meaghan Harkleroad, Practical Nursing instructor on the Alma campus.
Runners-up for the GOAL title at Coastal Pines Technical College are Tracy Arnette, a Practical Nursing student on the Golden Isles campus, and Sharon Aguilar is an online Paralegal Studies student from Appling County. Congratulations to all of these students for their efforts and willingness to represent Coastal Pines.
Grace will go on to represent Coastal Pines Technical College at the regional competition on February 21st in Tifton, and later, the state competition in April in Atlanta.
