The Coastal Pines Technical College (CPTC) Local Board of Directors recently received 100% Board Certification and was given the 100% Club Award. Only 14 of the 22 technical college boards received this award. For a local board member to become certified, he/she must complete four mandatory workshops, 1 elective workshop, 2 mandatory activities and eight additional elective activities.
The CPTC Local Board of Directors is made up of 10 members from the CPTC service delivery area. All current board members are certified and make up the 100% club designation. The CPTC board members represent a variety of business, industry, and economic development backgrounds and bring with them a wealth of experience and wisdom. Board members often communicate community needs to the President and administration; and as a result, CPTC considers its local Board of Directors a vital asset in the quest to fulfill the mission of the college.
