Posted on

Spring semester 2020 began on January 9, 2020 for Coastal Pines Technical College (CPTC) and proves to be another strong semester for the college. Fall semester provided record numbers for the college with over 4,500 students for the first time since its inception in 2015, but spring proved that there is always room for growth. Coastal Pines Technical College’s spring semester is the 11th consecutive semester with an enrollment increase over the same semester the previous year. Coastal Pines has another semester of increased enrollment at 4,120 students, which is a 6.3% increase over spring 2019 enrollment.

“For the past three years the College has experienced significant growth in our certificate, diploma and degree programs. What that means for our local communities here in Southeast Georgia is an increased number of graduates with the skills needed by local business and industry. These graduates are helping to fill job vacancies and allowing our local employers to expand their businesses.” states Dr. Glenn Deibert, President of Coastal Pines Technical College.

CPTC provides over 140 programs of study, eleven career paths that are tuition free, seven instructional sites, nineteen adult education sites, and dual enrollment opportunities with sixteen high schools. The College serves a thirteen county area encompassing 7,433 square miles. Coastal Pines Technical College is recognized for having a 99% job placement rate.
