COVID-19 Update 3/18/20

Posted on

In compliance with Governor Brian Kemp’s Executive Order 3.16.20.01, all Coastal Pines Technical College (CPTC) campuses are closed to the public March 18 through March 31.

Academic courses will continue via distance (online) education. Students should continue to check their Coastal Pines student email accounts and monitor Blackboard for instruction. College operations will carry-on in a limited capacity for faculty and staff to ensure that essential College functions continue. Updates or changes to this plan will be distributed through the College website, social media channels, and emergency response communications (RAVE) through email and text.

We heard from many students, faculty and staff who requested that we keep the original Spring Break of April 6-10 rather than moving it to next week as was announced last Friday. Because we were successful getting all academic courses moved online so quickly, we have received permission to keep the original Spring Break schedule. Therefore, the College will observe Spring Break as originally scheduled on April 6-10. If this causes a hardship with you as a student, please discuss your situation with your instructor and they will work with you to resolve it.

This remains a rapidly evolving situation. Please monitor www.coastalpines.edu, your CPTC email and all CPTC social media channels for updated information and resources.
