The students competed against other colleges in many categories for the chance to place in the yearly competition. The Gold medal winner will have the chance to attend Nationals this summer. The Skills USA National Competition will also be held in Atlanta in June of this year.

Steven Green, a Practical Nursing student on the Waycross campus, won the Gold medal for Nurse Assisting. Ashley Dowling, Anna Kennedy, Hannah Thornton and Amberly Rentz, all Practical Nursing students participated in the Health Knowledge Bowl competition and earned a Silver medal for coming in second place. The Skills USA chapter of Coastal Pines Technical College also won third place for the largest membership increase.

Congratulations are in order to all of the competitors that represented Coastal Pines for the accomplishments! We are so proud of all of our students and instructors who competed.
