Coastal Pines Technical College’s (CPTC) Adult Education Program has changed the scope of adult education services by widening the lens of educational opportunities. These opportunities now include more than just free adult education classes for students to earn their high school equivalency. The adult education program also offers free Integrated Education Training (I.E.T.)/Training On the Go! classes, as well as career services to help students find placement should they choose to continue with CPTC by taking more credit courses.
The I.E.T./Training On the Go! program gives an adult education student individualized instruction that is tied to a state approved Technical Certificate of Credit (TCC). These students receive free training for that TCC, become certified and be matched well with an industry where they can start a good career.
Students Beverly Haslip, Brandy Griffis, Clarence Morris, and Tyshawn Mayo-Johnson just completed their I.E.T. training and became certified as Forklift Operators!
