Coastal Pines Technical College (CPTC) celebrated an exciting milestone on Thursday, October 29, with a Topping Out Ceremony for the new Health Science Building on the Jesup Campus. The ceremony brought together local officials, community partners, College leadership, faculty, and staff to recognize the progress of this important project.
CPTC Interim President Amanda Foreman and Local Board Chair Kurt Davis addressed attendees during the ceremony, expressing their appreciation for the continued support of the College and its commitment to expanding educational opportunities throughout the region.
"Today, we celebrate more than just the progress of construction. We celebrate a shared commitment to education, opportunity, and preparing the next generation of healthcare professionals who will serve our communities," said Foreman. "This building represents an exciting investment in the future of our students and the communities we serve, and we are grateful to everyone who has helped make this vision a reality."
The topping out ceremony is a longstanding construction tradition that marks a significant milestone in a building's progress. The tradition symbolizes good fortune, protection, and the hard work and teamwork involved in bringing a new facility to life.
Coastal Pines extends its sincere appreciation to Cogdell and Mendrala Architects and Allstate Construction for their dedication and continued work on the new facility.
Once completed, the Jesup Health Science Building will serve as a place of learning, growth, and opportunity for future healthcare professionals, further strengthening CPTC's commitment to workforce development and student success. For more information, visit www.coastalpines.edu.
