Coastal Pines Technical College has released the Fall 2020 Reopening Plan. For more information on course instruction, please refer to the attached.
During Fall 2020 Semester, the majority of classes will be provided in the online or hybrid format. Hybrid courses are courses that are 50% online and 50% face-to-face. These courses will be offered to allow an additional option for students who need more direct instruction in the subject. In hybrid courses, 50% of the students enrolled in the course will meet one day per week and the other 50% will meet an opposing day. A staggered schedule for hybrid classes will allow for small group instruction and safe social distancing practices. Where allowed by accrediting/licensing agencies and in programs where available, virtual labs will be provided. Additionally, personal protective equipment will be provided and strongly recommended when meeting on campus. In specific instances where social distancing is not possible, personal protective equipment will be required.
The Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) and Coastal Pines Technical College (CPTC) are committed to providing a safe and healthful environment for its employees, students, volunteers, visitors, vendors and contractors. CPTC will continue to follow COVID-19 guidance from the Governor’s Office, the Georgia Department of Health (DPH) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). To prepare for the Fall 2020 Semester and a re-opening of CPTC campuses to students and the public, the College has implemented numerous safety measures. The COVID-19 pandemic continues to be a fluid situation and circumstances may require a change or update. Any changes or updates will be communicated as quickly as possible to the CPTC community.
