Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America Donates Electric Vehicle Tool Kits to Coastal Pines Technical College

Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA) donated two electric vehicle tool kits to the Coastal Pines Technical College (CPTC) Foundation on March 19, 2024. These tool kits will be used for Electric Vehicle Professional Technical Certificate of Credit (EVP TCC) program at the Baxley and Waycross campuses.

The electric vehicle tool kits will enhance the resources available to students enrolled in the Electric Vehicle Professional TCC program. These kits include Milli Ohm Meters, Mega Ohm Meters, Auto Multi-Meter kits, and insulated tool sets. All this essential equipment is necessary for the maintenance, repair, and hands-on learning experiences vital to preparing are future technicians for the growing electric vehicle industry.

The Coastal Pines Technical College Electric Vehicle Professional TCC is a part of the Automotive Technology program and aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in the field of electric vehicle technology. By integrating hands-on training with industry-standard equipment, the program prepares students for rewarding careers in automotive service and repair, with a focus on electric and hybrid vehicles at the HMGMA plant being built in Bryan County, Georgia. Every student who successfully completes this TCC will be given the opportunity to interview with Hyundai.
