ServSafe Manager
Georgia requires at least one food service manager on staff who has successfully completed a food safety training program and passed an ANSI-CFP exam. For all new establishments, there is a 90-day grace period to comply with the mandatory manager certification. During this 90-day period, the manager or person in charge must demonstrate food safety knowledge. ServSafe Certification is effective for 5 years. The ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification covers the latest FDA Food Code updates and is based on a new job task analysis developed exclusively by industry experts. This course focuses intently on the preventative measures to keep food safe, leading to stronger food safety practices and a better trained workforce. This course includes textbook that should be picked up two weeks prior to the first class. This course also includes the certification test that will be administered at the end of the last class.
