Coastal Pines Technical College Foundation Hosts Successful Clay Shoot

The Coastal Pines Technical College (CPTC) Foundation hosted the 8th annual Sporting Clays Tournament on April 22, 2023 at the Dorchester Shooting Preserve in Midway, Ga. There were more than 18 teams participating in the event, and over $20,000 was raised for student scholarships.

Winners were chosen based on Lewis Class rules and were split into two brackets. For bracket A, 1st place was Community Bank of Baxley, 2nd place was Shoreline Marine, and 3rd place was Thomas and Hutton. Bracket B winners were International Auto Processing in 1st place, AT&T in 2nd place, and Enviva Biomass in 3rd place. Top female shooter was Maggie Coleman, top youth shooter was Will Hines, and the oldest shooter was Jim Lane.

The 9th Annual Sporting Clays Tournament is scheduled for May 4, 2024 at the Dorchester Shooting Preserve. For more information on this event and the CPTC Foundation, visit www.coastalpines.edu.
