On December 14, 2022, the Satilla REMC Foundation donated $20,000 to the Coastal Pines Technical College (CPTC) Foundation. The donations are broken in to two separate donations. One $10,000 check will be used toward scholarships for the Electrical Lineworker Program to directly support the students and costs associated with the program, including tuition, books, and supplies. The second $10,000 donation was made to the general scholarship fund to assist any student at Coastal Pines who needs additional financial assistance with tuition, fees, and books.

The Electrical Lineworker certificate program provides students with the necessary knowledge and skill to gain employment as an entry-level Lineworker with electrical utility companies, both public and private. This program can be completed in eight weeks. For more information, visit www.coastalpines.edu.
