The health and safety of our students, faculty, and staff is always our first priority. From the onset of the pandemic in Georgia, Coastal Pines has followed COVID-19 guidance from the Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and will continue to do so. Coastal Pines continues to monitor ongoing developments and will update this web page accordingly.

As of Monday, November 14, 2022, we are no longer requesting reporting of nor providing guidelines for COVID. Students and staff should follow their doctor recommendations.

Coastal Pines to Host Spring Plant Sale

The Coastal Pines Technical College (CPTC) Hort Club will host its Spring Plant Sale on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at the Waycross Greenhouse. The Greenhouse will be open from 9:00am until 2:30pm, and the public is welcome to attend and shop. Fluffy Ruffles, Asparagus, Rabbit's Foot, Silver Brake, Boston ferns, Ruby Red ferns, and more will be available. Cash, check, and debit are accepted. All proceeds will go to the Hort Club. Hope 1312 Collective Donates to CPTC Foundation

The Coastal Pines Technical College (CPTC) Foundation received a $5,000 donation from the Hope 1312 Collective organization. The donation was used to set up the Hope 1312 Scholarship for Coastal Pines Technical College students. The scholarship will be available for students to apply for beginning Summer Semester 2023. New Respiratory Therapy Instructor at Coastal Pines Technical College

Coastal Pines Technical College has recently hired a new Respiratory Therapy Care instructor. Breanna Brown, a Jeff Davis County resident, will be teaching the program on the Waycross campus. Breanna is a 2011 graduate from The University of Georgia with a bachelor’s in psychology. CPTC Foundation Receives a Donation from the Terry Thomas Foundation

The Coastal Pines Technical College (CPTC) Foundation received a $10,000 grant from the Terry Thomas Foundation. Topping Out Event Held at Southern Pines College and Career Academy

Southern Pines College and Career Academy (SPCCA) hosted a Topping Out Event on February 1, 2023, on the construction site for the new Southern Pines College and Career Academy building. The Waycross Bar Association donated to the Coastal Pines Technical College (CPTC) Foundation to go towards student scholarships. Alexis Nolan, Waycross resident, and Associate of Applied Science Education student is the proud recipient of a $250 scholarship. Rick Perkins Award Winning Instructor Named for Coastal Pines

Laura Waters, a Speech and Communications Instructor on the Golden Isles campus, has been named as the 2023 Rick Perkins Award for Excellence in Technical Instruction winner for Coastal Pines Technical College.
